13U Blitz-Tunstall Division II District Champs!!!!

The Blitz-Tunstall Girls 13U Team Wins "1st Place" In AAU Mid-Atlantic District Qualifier!!

The 2009 South Jersey "Boro" Blitz-Tunstall 13U Girls Basketball Squad consisting of: Aaliyah Saud, Autumn Price, Brittanie Bingham, Dionna Tunstall, Drina Thornton, Gabriella Bennett, Gabrielle Brown, Micahya Owens, Nadja Riggsand Tyler Raysor, Coached by Lisa Tunstall with Assistant Coaches Reggie Riggs, and Stephanie Bingham, won 1st Place in the 2009 AAU Girls 13U Mid-Atlantic District Qualifier.

After winning all of their games on Saturday, the girls looked forward to Sunday and the possibility of "winning it all and all that goes with it". Sunday was full of excitement, 3 challenging games with a final late evening victory beating the Atlantic Cape Wildcats 64-50; capping off their AAU record of 11-0

Their winning efforts provided the opportunity for the girls to represent the Blitz at the AAU 13U Girls Basketball Division II National Championships in Cocoa Beach, Fl. from July 10th-15th

The SJ Blitz Boys 13U team has done it again!!
The Nationally ranked SJ Blitz Boys 13U team won its second tournament of the season by going 5-0 in the Hoop Group Jamfest Tournament in Providence, Rhode Island. The Providence Jamfest is one of the top AAU Tournaments in the USA. This College exposure tournament hosts some of the top teams on the East Coast and is known for being one of the toughest tourney's in the country. The Blitz defeated teams from MA., ME., NY., and RI., with a balanced scoring attack and their legendary man to man defense.
The Blitz record for the year stands at 14 wins and 1 loss as they head to the District Championships being held in Willingboro, May 9 thru 11.

The Blitz Girls 11U team MidAtlantic Regional Champs!!

The 2008 Boro Blitz U-11 Girls Basketball squad consisting of Sharde Adams, Jada Atchison, Shelby Baker, Brashai Bolden, Brielle Branch, Kara Cezar, Raiona Dash,

Janee Dennis, Brianna Logan, Kierona Morton, Theresa Slater, Victoria Wallace and coached by Jon Cezar, Barry Whitehead, Tarae Morton, and Kyleen Cezar have won the 2008 U-11B Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships. With the fierce determination that there is no "I" in team, the girls were able to hold off a very formidable opponent- The Fencor U-11B squad and pull out a thrilling overtime victory 44-41 for the championship. Their winning effort has provided the opportunity for the girls to represent Boro Blitz for the second year in a row at the AAU National Championships to be held in New Haven, Connecticut.
