The Blitz co-sponsored by Willingboro Rec. and the Jr NBA & Jr WNBA, sent 2 teams to play in the
Gatorade Jr NBA/Jr WNBA Championship Series in New York .
The Blitz First Annual Classic was held April 12 & 13th. Clubs that participated all said "the
competition was awesome and the facilities were top notched".
Our first tournament had a visit from former
Rutgers star and current WNBA Monarch's star Chelsea Newton she spoke to our future stars (from left to right) Gabrielle
Purnell, Lauren Mincy, Chelsea, Brianna Canty, & Taylor Holmes. These young ladies represented their teams extremely well
in the tournament.
We thank Ms. Newton for taking the time to speak to the young stars.
